OUR STORY – and why we love to share natural beauty tips…
Yes, we’re a mother daughter team with a huge message to share! Our names are Laurie (mom) and Tiffany (daughter)
After Tiffany’s diagnosis of a crippling auto-immune disease, we changed everything from the products we used, to the foods we eat, and even the thoughts we think. As we replaced toxins with positive alternatives and nutrients, we saw amazing changes, not just for Tiffany, but for both of us. We lost weight, overcame allergies, asthma, aches and pains, and our energy levels soared. As we shared what we were learning with loved ones, we couldn’t hold back any longer. We had to get the word out, and thus, www.naturesknockout.com was born, where we share our skills to help you be a knockout naturally-inside & out. This new site, Beauty Bite Diet, will be devoted to help you cook and slather your way to beauty & health as well!

I just love you guys, Thank you for teaching us and sharing all the recipes with all of us.It has got me thinking more and more about whats in the things I buy and how my body may be reacting to the things I am putting in it/on it.I recently found out that I have a Hypothyroidism and it really is opening my eyes to these things. I hope I can soon get it undercontrol and start feeling better.Do you guys know what kind of foods that may help me out?I always am tired and have little if any energy it makes it so hard cause I have to young boys that are full of energy.I understand you are not doctors but I would LOVE to hear the Knowledge you may have that can help me out with this condition. thank you both God Bless.
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks so much for your note, we really appreciate it and we wish you didn’t have to go thru the physical pain that you’re experiencing, but we hold out a lot of hope that it can be managed and that you can find great relief naturally.
And we do have to qualify anything medical that we say with everything I’m about to share is strictly our opinion and not necessarily medical fact..blah blah blah, lol!
On our end, we just watch everything that goes inside the body, foods, products and thoughts and make sure they are as beneficial as possible. Our other website, http://www.naturesknockout.com goes into the products and thoughts while this one now will be focused on the foods. With Hypothyroidism, you’re dealing with hormonal imbalances and most of the personal care products on the market today contain ingredients that have endocrine disruptors, neurotoxins and other toxins that have been shown to throw off the hormones…so we think it’s smart to learn all you can about that and stay with the natural & organic options as much as possible.
We’ve found that with AU disease, it’s essential to replace all of the toxins possible with nutrients. The body will thrive on nutrients and the way to get them into the body is through a balanced diet that includes healthy fats. Since AU diseases also thrive on omega 3 fatty acids, the best healthy fats include extra virgin olive oil, flaxseed oil, and fish oil…so those seem to be a must.
Other factors that help balance the hormones are getting plenty of sleep, exercise, and destressing in whatever ways you can. We really love yoga for that too.
It’s hard to put it all in a little nutshell, but our feeling is that you should incorporate those into your routine as soon as you can and on a daily basis.
Also, remember the body needs to sweat, especially one that can’t tolerate toxins….so get rid of anti-perspirants and work out hard enough to work up a sweat. It doesn’t even mean a long time, just enough to help release more toxins.
I don’t know if you saw it or not, but we are setting up a forum on this site so that you can discuss this a lot more into depth and get feedback from the community. It’s new, but we’d love for you to start up a forum or join the AU disease forum we’ve started. I really think that once this site is launched, the forums will provide some wonderful support, tips and ideas. So please check it out, I think it could be an awesome resource for you as you go thru your journey.
Thanks sweetie and look at this as a wonderful blessing–your body is calling the shots and protecting you from further damage.. And sadly, we get hundreds of letters and talk to people every day who are coming down with AU diseases….so, it’s comforting to know that you’re not alone. Take care and stay in touch!!
